Dr. Dugan's Retirement Letter

To the wonderful caretakers and best friends of my patients and their referring veterinarians,

It is with bittersweet emotion and a lifetime of fond memories that I write this note to inform you after founding Eye Specialists for Animals of Denver/Greenwood Village and Colorado Springs 32 years ago, I have retired from veterinary ophthalmology on March, 18, 2025.

This decision marks the end of a book that was defined by joy, laughter, challenges (both ophthalmologic and business related) and countless wonderful experiences with each of you and your companion animal friends. I’m deeply grateful for the trust you have expressed and it has been a heartwarming privilege to be part of your and your best friend(s) lives.

Thank you so very much for allowing me to be your dog, cat, horse, ferret, rabbit ophthalmologist, friend and your companion animals’ advocate. I know Eye Specialists for Animals of Denver/Greenwood Village is in great hands with our doctors and staff, and will continue to deliver the same quality of care and service to you and your companion.
